Our admissions process is designed to help assure that your child will be placed in a class that is developmentally and socially appropriate. We want every child to have a fulfilling and positive learning experience and make every effort to ensure that both parents and our school feel confident that a "good fit" is met.
This checklist will guide you through the admission process. We encourage families to begin this process in the early Fall for the following school year.
1. Schedule a visit to an Open House.
2. The deadline to return the Application Form and $50.00 fee is December 9. Children applying to our Four and Five-year-old programs will be contacted to schedule a brief visit to Landmark. Applicants will be assessed by an administrator or a member of our teaching staff to determine if he or she is a good candidate for our program. Assessments take approximately twenty-five minutes. In order to receive a notification letter, the application must be completed which means your child should have already had their assessment.
3. Notification for sibling applicants, applicants of former families, and applicants from our Fun for Ones program will be during the December holiday. The deadline is January 6 for these applicants to return the Enrollment Agreement and deposit.
4. Notification for new families is January 9. Letter Notification/and or an Enrollment Agreement will only be mailed to applicants that have completed the application process.
5. The deadline for new families to return the Enrollment Agreement and deposit is January 17. Landmark of Ridgefield Academy also uses a first-come, first-served policy when placing students in classes; therefore, timely return of your enrollment agreement and deposit will increase your chances of securing placement and/or the schedule of your choice. If the program or schedule is not available, a phone call will be placed from the admission office and availabilities discussed.
Financial Aid is available to qualifying students in Landmark's Five year-old programs (Fives & Fundamentals). More information can be found here.
